Another feather in Detecto ’s cap! Detecto appeared on the popular television program, "How It’s Made" being aired on the Science Channel on February 13, 2009. I am sure you all must have heard about this television series that premiered in 2001 on the Discovery Channel. Still, just by way of introduction, let me tell you a little about the show.

"How It’s Made" is basically a Canadian documentary program that brings to the viewer the manufacturing process involved in the making of everyday items. From industrial products and musical instruments to sporting goods and food items, it shows you how they are made. The show has also been translated into several languages and broadcast in many countries across the world. To be part of this well-known program is a big thing for any company.

In 2008 it was Detecto’s turn to feature on this widely-watched show. The shooting for three different segments took place at the company’s Webb City facility between February 27 and 29 in 2008. The three segments were scheduled to be aired at the beginning, middle, and end of the TV show season. The first one about the food service scale went on air early in the Fall line-up, in December 2008. The second segment followed on February 13, 2009 at 8 pm CST.
